“Jeremy Roenick admitted harboring some lingering resentment over being traded by the Chicago Blackhawks almost 14 years ago, and that’s why — if forced — he would pull for the Philadelphia Flyers in a Stanley Cup finals series against the Hawks. ‘I said if you had a gun to my head, I said I did have to [root for the Flyers],’ Roenick said on “The Waddle & Silvy Show” on ESPN 1000. ‘I didn’t want to leave in 1996. If I have to choose, then I have to choose, that’s just what it is.’” from an ESPN.com article. (read it here) Later in the article, Mr. Blackhawk-for-Life also says he would root for the Sharks over the Hawks: “‘If you put a gun to my head, I got to go with the Sharks,’ Roenick said.” Presumably he was crying because he was wrong two times in a row. Also, I don’t know why both of his picks require a gun being put to his head. Is he placing the bets with Gretz’ wife’s goons?
